TOP 5 TIPS ON WORKING OUT WITHOUT KNOWING IT

Whether you are heading for a week to the beach, a shopping trip in NYC or an escape to the country, there are always ways to integrate fitness into your schedule – the workout without even knowing you’re working out! Sometimes you need to beat the sun to get a kick start on your work day and just get fresh air. Even in busiest times a sense of movement, health and wellbeing is vital for keeping mentally and physically agile. 

Usually people get caught up in needing a strict routine – however when life throws curve balls it’s really handy to have a lifestyle approach to your fitness and health. As long as you have the right attitude you can take your ‘gym’ with you.

Here’s 5 top tips to workout without even realising it:

  1. Try something new: Learn to Surf or Stand Up Paddle Board. Surfing is a great way to get fit and you’ll be busy concentrating on the information, watching the water and having so much fun. Rent Stand Up Paddle boards to get fit and be active without feeling like you in the gym. Great for core and legs stand, it won’t be until the next day you discover muscles you never knew you had. OR why not just pack your running shoes and do a 15min walk/jog super early, grab a coffee on the way back before you start your day if you’re travelling for work. Think about your location with a fresh perspective.

  2. Rent a bike and explore the city Swop heels for trainers and see the sights on foot as exercise. Even if you’re on a shopping weekend you can get up a bit earlier or take time during the afternoon to walk the city as your exercise. Explore the shops before they open to know your way around. The best way to get a feel for the place you are staying is to discover it on foot or rent a bike.

  3. Traveling for the holidays? Be creative  – Use Nature as your Gym: Embrace the surroundings. If you are on an island paradise or beach holiday, then head to the water for your workouts. In the countryside or even in a city that has amazing parks then head out to explore by hiking, running, walking, biking or even look at horse riding for a more adventurous twist. Use your lunch breaks as a power hour without breaking a sweat and just get up and walk somewhere for lunch at a leisurely pace. Bring back a healthy choices such as salads or sushi and divide your lunch time 50/50 with movement then meal time.

  5. Book a Fit Date – things hotting up with your significant other or a new flame? Why not create an active date you can do together. Try rock climbing, hiking, walking the city, stand up paddle boarding or even horse riding. You’ll be having so much fun you won’t even realise you’re working out.
