This is not about speed, but more about using your total muscles from the tips of your fingers right through your toes.
A wonderful pose for functional fitness and total body control.
Drop your head down so that your face is parallel with the floor.
When your arms are extended, your face should always be parallel with the floor as well, keeping your spine in mind and your body in a great position.
Extend your arms back behind you and look up. Hold this position and then lower your head in line with your spine.
Important: Squeezing your glutes at all times takes the pressure off your lower back and engages that strong muscle group; your hamstrings, your calves, your lats and even your abs are all working in this exercise.
Take your time to have the right technique and hold the pose at the top.
A great exercise for body weight fitness, strength and as part of a mini routine for the mornings!
