Welcome to my express session videos, filmed on the fly. This one is about living with purpose – each day.

We’ve just come back from a massive event across Canberra, Brisbane, Gold Coast, with some amazing people. So, thank you to everyone that I got to speak for and work.  

This Vitality Daily Edit was really just a moment to reflect and think, well what’s your purpose? 

Normally I just post these straight to my YouTube channel and Facebook, but we received a few messages asking to make them into blog posts with some key points to take away. So here you go.

No frills and no fuss. Filmed on the go as we drive back after a week on the road with VERY long days.

Making Purpose A Point.. Really

We’ve all got time;  the same number of hours in the day as Richard Branson, as Beyonce, as your best friend, as someone that you really look up to. What matters is how we view those minutes and hours. What we do with them. It’s not about being busy. In fact that’s not a badge of honour.  

What’s your daily purpose or are you on autopilot? 

3 Questions to ask yourself:

  1. What is it in your day and what is it in your week that is really important for you?
  2. What legacy and what ripple effect are you leaving?
  3. What’s your purpose on this planet right now?

It doesn’t have to be big. It doesn’t have to be grandiose. It just has to be something that’s important to you….And it could be looking after your family. So who knows, it’s up to you but be sure you take time to think about it.

If you don’t design the day or the week we want we will get the one you’re given. 

Take a moment to reflect on these 10 points of daily purpose.

  1. How can you be more conscious
  2. Present in the moment
  3. Aware of others
  4. Be a great mentor, friend and leader
  5. Instil random acts of kindness into your day
  6. Live with intent
  7. What are you going to do differently today, that’s going to make a ripple effect for yourself and for others
  8. What are you grateful for?
  9. What can you learn about what’s going on in your life?
  10. What time are you creating for yourself?

I hope I inspire you to think a little bit differently, and not to be on auto pilot, but to be okay with feeling uncomfortable at times, because it’s probably you’re in a moment of learning.

To be okay with finding time to hold space for yourself.

So for me, I’m going to go home and do some Dylan Werner yoga, because he’s the bomb at the moment. To create some incredible, engaging time for me to switch off, but also just meditate on all these points.
