I may be accused of stating the complete obvious today when I tell you the absolute best way to start your day as soon as you wake up is to SMILE.

 

(I don’t mean in a creepy way to freak out the person next to you)…

 

Start your day and end it on a high note is to think like a winner, be happy and SMILE as soon as you wake up.

 

It’s an essential ingredient for vitality on a personal and business level.

Seriously, if the first conscious thought you can create is of gratitude, happiness and harmony you can set your day up for a series of wins just by the attitude you have. It not only has a direct result on your mood and the aura you will project to others, but also the chemical make up internally with you body.

 

I’m writing this post especially for one of my podcast listeners today who wrote in saying they have struggled for many years with motivation, body issues and just feeling great about themselves.

Since my listeners and readers are pretty much a 50/50 split male and female I hope you can imagine this feeling of never being completely happy with where you’re at is not just for women, it’s not just for teenagers and it’s definitely not dependent on where you are at in your life.

 

Many of you can relate to just not being happy with how you look or where you’re at.  You have the ability to create the life you want and the first point to start is understanding the power of positive thinking.

Well, I can tell you first up that the fastest way to create change is to live actively in the mindset of where you want to be. The mind/body connection is so powerful it far beyond what we can actually prove scientifically – however if you’re a research nut and need the facts…

 

Let’s back it up with some stats: 

 

FACT 1: The average person has over 30,000 thoughts a day. So that’s a lot of potential physical programming you are doing without realising it.

According to Dr. Bruce Lipton, gene activity can change on a daily basis.

If the perception in your mind is reflected in the chemistry of your body, and if your nervous system reads and interprets the environment and then controls the blood’s chemistry, then you can literally change the fate of your cells by altering your thoughts.

Research shows that fear, all on its own, triggers more than 1,400 known physical and chemical responses and activates more than 30 different hormones.

 

Fear does not necessarily mean you’re running from a lion on the way to work – it could be waking up worried about finances, the day ahead, a family member or just not feeling settled or not loving you or your body enough…

 

FACT 2: Understand your subconscious. Importantly daily affirmations are not going to do it alone – your subconscious mind (what you truly believe) and your conscious mind (what you tell yourself) need to be aligned for positive mindfulness to really work.

Therefore work at a deeper level before you go to sleep in a relaxed state a true sense of self belief and that you can have abundance, health and wealth as desired.

“The major problem is that people are aware of their conscious beliefs and behaviors, but not of subconscious beliefs and behaviors. Most people don’t even acknowledge that their subconscious mind is at play, when the fact is that the subconscious mind is a million times more powerful than the conscious mind and that we operate 95 to 99 percent of our lives from subconscious programs.

FACT 3: You can release stress from laughter. They say laughter is the best medicine and according to the Mayo clinic it has some serious good vibe effects on reducing your cortisol levels, which in turn help keep your system regulated, limiting the negative effects that stress can have on hormones and digestive system.

 

I firmly believe that exercise and a sense of happiness from within generates a powerful antidote to today’s stress focused world.

  1. Live how your future healthy self would now: A sense of energy and positivity creates a feeling of drive and abundance of energy that in turn helps you get jobs done and practice healthy living.
  2. A positive mindset deals with stress more effectively and with a better perspective.
  3. A feeling of happiness radiates out and can provide a better interaction with others during your day, often resulting in increased productivity, enjoyment at work and the fun factor by engaging with others. Lead from within is not just a fun saying. It’s actually essential.
  4. A positive mindset in healthy living allows you to focus on the journey, work on your goals and feel positive about your current  health and fitness status – as opposed to always telling your body off for not being thin, lean, toned or good enough…you really are what you think so be careful what messages you are sending out.
